The increasing spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) will clearly concern and create worry for those that have previously suffered health impacts as a consequence of the CervicalCheck debacle.

Given the potential impact that COVID-19 (coronavirus) may have on cancer patients, it has been decided to cancel all upcoming 221+ meetings and events.

While the numbers attending would be lesser than the thresholds for indoor gatherings set out in today’s statement by Government, this decision has been made to protect the health of our members, and to avoid the possibility that such events might lead to the spread of the coronavirus more generally.

On foot of this decision, the following events will no longer go ahead:

  • The Member Consultation Workshopscheduled for Cork on Saturday next, March 14th
  • The proposed Member Consultation Workshop in Sligoon March the 28th
  • The Surrogacy and Adoption Event in Dublin on Friday April 13th
  • All  Regional Meet Ups.

We will review the Private Members Meeting scheduled for May 16th closer to the time.

While 221+ will not be facilitating members gathering in person for the time being, you can link in with other members via the members forum on the 221+ website: www.221plus.ie

One to one support is still available via phone (01 2316648) and email (info@221plus.ie / winniedonoghue@221plus.ie), and information will continue to be sent to you by email and posted on the website.
